Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water

For the filling:

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Make the dough – Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Gradually add warm water, stirring until a dough forms. Knead until smooth, then let rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix the filling – In a separate bowl, combine chicken, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the dumplings – Roll the dough into thin circles, spoon in the filling, fold over, and pinch the edges to seal.
  4. Cook your way – Boil (5–6 minutes), steam (8–10 minutes), or pan-fry until golden and crispy on the bottom.

Chef’s Tip: Make a double batch and freeze half—future you will thank you.
