Ingredients

  • 1 jar grape leaves, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp salt & black pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate molasses
  • 1/4 cup fresh pomegranate seeds for garnish


Directions

  1. Make the Filling โ€“ In a bowl, mix cooked rice, onion, pine nuts, mint, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Stuff & Roll โ€“ Place a grape leaf smooth side down, add a spoonful of filling, fold in the sides, and roll tightly.
  3. Cook โ€“ Arrange in a pot, drizzle with olive oil, add broth, and simmer covered for 30-40 minutes.
  4. Glaze & Serve โ€“ Drizzle with pomegranate molasses and top with fresh pomegranate seeds.
