Crispy Fried Chicken Burger with Bacon & Slaw 🍔

Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside — this burger layers fried chicken, smoked bacon, crisp lettuce, and creamy slaw in one unapologetically satisfying bite.

Pair with Zina’s Black Bean Salad or Portobello Mushroom Salad — earthy, vibrant, and just bold enough to stand up to this burger’s crunch.


Ingredients:

  • 2 brioche buns
  • 1 chicken breast, breaded and fried
  • 2 slices smoked bacon
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or romaine leaves
  • ¼ cup coleslaw
  • 2 tbsp burger sauce (mayo, ketchup, paprika mix)
  • Salt & pepper to taste


Instructions:

  1. Toast the buns – Lightly grill both sides until golden.
  2. Cook the bacon – Fry until crisp and set aside.
  3. Fry the chicken – Bread and deep-fry until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Assemble – Spread sauce on both buns, layer lettuce, fried chicken, bacon, and a spoonful of coleslaw.
  5. Serve – Press gently, slice in half, and serve warm.

 

Note: Add a spoonful of Black Bean Salad right into the burger if you’re feeling rebellious — it works.
