BRING BOLD, DELICIOUS FLAVORS TO YOUR DINNER TABLE WITH THESE EASY-TO-MAKE STEAK TACOS! JUICY, TENDER STEAK SLICES, TOPPED WITH FRESH SALSA AND CILANTRO, ALL WRAPPED IN WARM TORTILLAS—THIS IS THE PERFECT TACO NIGHT RECIPE. HERE’S HOW TO MAKE IT:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb flank steak or skirt steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small corn tortillas
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 cup diced onion
For the Fresh Salsa:
- 2 ripe tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup onion, diced
- 1 jalapeño, finely chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Rub the steak with olive oil, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until cooked to your liking.
- Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
- While the steak rests, mix together all salsa ingredients in a bowl and season to taste.
- Warm the tortillas on a dry skillet or directly over a gas flame until slightly charred and pliable.
- To assemble, place slices of steak on each tortilla, top with fresh salsa, chopped cilantro, and diced onion.
Chef’s Tip: Serve with a squeeze of lime and a dash of hot sauce for extra flavor!
